JEE Main 2027 registration is open for the January session. You can submit the Session 1 form from 24 October to 22 November 2026, until 11:50 pm. Start on the official NTA website and keep your application number after registering.

JEE Main 2027 Session 1 dates
- Normal application and fee deadline: 22 November 2026, 11:50 pm.
- Late application window: 23–26 November 2026; an additional ₹500 applies.
- Correction window: 27–29 November 2026, until 11:50 pm.
- City intimation: 30 December 2026.
- Admit cards: 13 January 2027.
- Examination: 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 January 2027.
All times are Indian Standard Time. The city slip helps with travel planning; the admit card provides the candidate’s examination details. Check later NTA notices for changes.
Eligibility and application fee
Candidates who passed Class 12 or its equivalent in 2025 or 2026, or are appearing in 2027, can apply subject to the bulletin. There is no age limit for taking JEE Main, although institutions may have their own admission conditions.
For one paper at an Indian centre, the fee is ₹1,000 for General male candidates, ₹900 for Gen-EWS/OBC-NCL male candidates and ₹800 for female candidates in those categories. SC/ST/PwD/PwBD and third-gender candidates pay ₹500. Combined papers and overseas centres have different fees; use the bulletin’s full fee table.
How to apply without missing a step
- Open jeemain.nta.nic.in and select the Session 1 application link.
- Register, then keep the application number and login details safely.
- Complete personal, educational, paper and examination-city choices. Compare names and dates with your records.
- Follow the live-photograph process and upload your recent photograph, signature and required certificates.
- Review the preview before paying. Confirm the payment status and download the confirmation page.
Prepare these uploads first
The bulletin specifies a JPG/JPEG photograph of 10–200 kB, a JPG/JPEG signature of 10–100 kB and a Class 10 certificate/marksheet PDF of 50–300 kB. Upload any disability or nationality documents that apply to you. Open each file after resizing it. A smaller file is useful only if the photograph and text are still clear.
Before submitting, read the preview with your original documents beside you. Check names, dates and the paper you selected. Keep the confirmation page with the payment reference.

Can I apply for April now?
The current notice invites Session 1 applications. NTA says a separate opportunity will be provided for Session 2. Do not assume a January-session payment also completes an April application.
For application difficulties, NTA lists 011-40759000, 011-69227700 and jeemain@nta.ac.in. Include the application reference and a clear description when seeking help; keep passwords and OTPs private.
Check the application, payment and confirmation separately
A saved registration is not the same as a finished form. Make one folder with your application number, the submitted confirmation page and the payment reference. If you ask a family member to help, check the preview together before the final submission: the selected paper, category and examination cities should match your own choices.
For example, if your bank shows a debit but the application does not show a completed payment, keep both records and follow the official payment instructions or contact NTA. A transaction screenshot alone does not show that every application step has been completed. Avoid making a second registration simply because you cannot find a confirmation page.
